Pita Chips:

Cut pita into eight triangles (you can pull them apart to make 16 if the pitas have pockets!)

Melt butter - add 1 garlic clove using garlic press & then brush on both sides of the pitas

Bake at 400f for 5-7 minutes & sprinkle with salt when they are hot out of the oven. Enjoy!

Easy Guacamole:

  • 2 avacodoes
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 ripe tomato chopped
  • 1 lime juiced
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Mash above ingredients together
  • Then chill for half an hour to blend flavours
  • Marilyn's Banana Bread:

    • 1/2 cup margarine
    • 1 cup white sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 3/4 cup flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 3 medium crushed bananas
    • 3/4 cup chocolate chips
    • Cream together margarine, white sugar & eggs in a bowl. In a seperate bowl, put the flour, baking soda & salt. In another bowl, mash bananas. Add half the flour mixture to the creamed mixture. Now add half of the mashed bananas to the creamed mixture. Add the rest of the flour and mashed bananas. Stir to combine completely. Add chocolate chips.

      Spray a loaf pan with non stick cooking spray & dust with flour. Bake in a 350f oven for 1 hour. Insert a toothpick into loaf, if it comes out clean, it's done!

      Mardi Gras Punch:

      • 1 can (6 oz) frozen orange juice (thawed)
      • 1 can (6 oz) frozen lemonade (thawed)
      • 1 can (6 oz) apple juice (chilled)
      • 2 bottles (2L) ginger ale
      • Raspberry Sherbert Punch:

        • 2L gingerale or sprite
        • 2 500ml raspberry sherbert
        • 1 can (6 oz) apple juice (chilled)
        • 2 bottles (2L) ginger ale
        • Pour the pop over scoops of sherbert
